Hard Candy in Love

I've always wanted to try this brand Hard Candy that is sold at Walmart but unfortunately the Walmart in my town never seems to restock things so there's never really anything available. But last week we were in Ware, Massachusetts and there was a Walmart there and what do you know. It was fully stocked! I was so happy. I didn't want to spend a boat load of money on a brand I've never really used before but I used it today, when I went to the beach (Yes I'm that girl that wears makeup to the beach) and I have nothing but positive things to say about it.
1) The FOUNDATION- To me it gave me a air brushed finish. It was really light, didn't feel heavy at all even in the 90 degree weather. I love the bottle, especially the fact that you can pump the product out.
2) The LIP STAIN. I thought it was going to be like one of those lip balms that are fruitfully colored but just give you a clear shine but it really does leave this pretty pink color on your lips. I didn't use much so it didn't exactly stain but I'm sure if more was used it would do it's job. Regardless, I love them, they're cute because it looks like a jumbo crayola crayon and they're fun.
3) The EYESHADOW- Not much to say about this, since I picked such a neutral plain color but it works! (HAHA) I think what I like best about the single shadows, is that they're only $3.00. I also have their pallettes which I love and they come in different styles and shades so maybe you all will like those better.

Old Navy Haul for $6.88

Not everyone is a credit card person, but me, I LOVE THEM! Well, the ones that come with the best rewards. I had racked up so many points using my Old Navy Visa card, I had a $20 reward and a $45 dollar reward. I was able to use them together, which was awesome. And I got so much stuff because I found a lot of stuff on clearance. Call me cheap or whatever you want but I love raiding the clearacne section of every store. I think I bought only one full price thing at Old Navy and that was my american flag tank. It was only $13 bucks though. I got two pairs of shorts which were $13.50, 2 thin long sleeve shirts for those cool nights by the beach for $3.99 and I got the striped shirt I'm wearing along with a lime green one for $5.99 and two t-shirts that have neon colored polka dots for $6.00. Everything came out to a little over $70.00 and my total was $6.88. Unbeliavable! >.< Like I said some people hate credit cards but if you are going to get one, I suggest getting one at Old Navy. Where your "customer duties" pay off. This was such a successful shopping trip, I wish it could always be this way. :) A girl can dream.

Love Always.

SHOE of the DAY!

TGIF my loves! I've been working since 11 PM last night and now I have to go into work till 3 PM! I'm really not in the mood to go into my 2nd job with complicated shoes so I'm just wearing these little things I believe I got at Marshall's a couple of years ago. They're by Tommy Hilfiger & they are super comfortable! This weekend I planned to be confined to my bed catching up on sleep and then hopefully spending the day at the beach this Sunday!

Happy Friday & enjoy your weekend!

Quote of the Day

Don't ever let anyone tell you that your dreams sound foolish. Because they're not. I believe that if you want something bad enough and you work hard enough. Anything is possible. So dream big and reach for the freakin' stars! I was always afraid of my dreams and I have a lot of things I would like to accomplish. And which ever one happens, I am completely happy. If none of them happen, hey you know what? I'm so happy I tried. I can look back on my life and say I tried like hell. People are jerks. Some jerk I don't even know, this wake said some really rude stuff about the things I dream about. But I don't let stuff like that bother me, it just pushes me to work harder. So whatever it is that you want to do in life. Here are the simple steps.
1. Make sure it's something you're going to be so happy doing for the rest of your life.
2. Go for it!
That's it!

Farm Life

I've been to this farm in Hadley, Massachusetts 2 days this week & it's only Tuesday. (As of right now) We stopped there for ice cream on a nice Sunday ride, which I got to say it was so good. You can't beat ice cream coming from the farm, especially a dairy farm. Compared to a typical franchise ice cream shop, I would take a trip out to a farm or a small local creamery any day whenever I had a sweet tooth for a cool treat. It's not as expensive & taste way better. We brought my dog with us this time. My mom was holding him and I had went off to go look at the other cows. I turn around to see my dog in the grass and two cows getting real close. I never ran so fast. I went into serious mama bear mode. Haha! I love farms though. The view, the smell (don't judge me) and just peacefulness (is that a word?) you get from just being there. As much as I want to get out of New England, Massachusetts has some pieces of it, I like to call heaven on earth and Flayvors of Cook Farm is one of them. If you're in the Massachusetts area, you can check this place out at

So peaceful.

Mother-Daughter bracelets.

So today was a good day. Got out of work at 3:30, went to my guitar practice & then made bracelets with my mom. It was a lot of fun, but we decided we both need glasses. Or at least we think we do because of all the squinting we did today making these bracelets. Like I always say, we all got to start somewhere and I think for first timers, we came up with good color schemes & themes for our bracelets. We are going to be learning different styles and ways to make different types of styles to make more funky and fashionable bracelets. If anyone is interested in buying these, we would be happy to sell them. :D Or if anyone is interested in this 3 style but would like a different color scheme, different charms. Please, we would be happy to work with you & make you a fab bracelet. Whether it be for prom, graduation, a gift whatever it may be. Let us know. <3

My Leopard/Cheetah Makeup.

So it's not perfect. But practice makes perfect right? Leopard/Cheetah, whatever I can't tell the difference, but this is me just playing around. Items used:
Urban Decay Naked 2
Elf Liquid Liner
Rimmel Jumbo Pencil
P.S. Don't mind my messy brows. I need to get those done... ASAP!

I did this in like less than 15 minutes. I'm sure if I took my time it would come out much better. So did anyone catch Aaron Carter on USTREAM? Funny guy and I'm glad to know there's someone who curses as much as I do. Hehe ;) Anyway, I'm going to get back to my cleaning guys. I promise to do a outfit of the day post tomorrow.
Much Love,
Melissa Christine R.

Quote of the Day

I just finished watching Silver Linings Playbook. Phenomenal movie and phenomenal job by Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. And did anyone see last nights episode of Grey's Anatomy? OMG! That's all I have to say & I can't wait for next week and NEXT SEASON!!! I also did a little cheating on my diet. I had two ice cream sundaes. :( I couldn't help it. I'm hoping for no rain here in Massachusetts so my mom and I can go for our daily walk. Anyway, here is the quote of the day. Love the backround and the meaning of this quote. Take every chance and opportunity given to you, I mean really what's the worse that could happen? You won't be successful? At least you know and learned something. And who knows maybe the next opportunity and chance that comes up, it's your moment, it's everything you dreamed and prayed for. Anyway, I love each and every one of you who take the time out of their day to read my blog post. I truly appreciate it.

Photo Shoot Ideas

So I've been into modeling lately. I mainly do it for my portfolio that I have with Boston Casting. If you don't know, I'm aspiring to be a actress. I've been doing more glamour shoots than anything. While I do like glamour and fashion and even posing in lingerie, I want to branch out and do some more wild portraits.
These are just some pictures I found on google with the links listed below each one.

Smash Burger

If you're in the area of New Rochelle, NY, check out this awesome burger joint called Smash Burger. One of the most delicious burgers I've ever had. The fries are really to die for too. These are their famous smash fries which have rosemary, olive oil and garlic tossed in them. The burger I had was the BBQ Bacon & Cheddar.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy

So I guess in a way this is a beauty tutorial in written form. I figure I would do this since at first I was confused as to how to get this product on. I tried swirling a brush in it (Fail). I tried taking the whole thing and brushing it up against my cheek (another fail). So here is a step by step on how to use this product.
1. Get a good amount on your finger. If after you feel like you want to add more after getting it on your cheek, you can certainly go back in and get more. But personally I like to use these blushes for a subtle glow.
2. Swipe the product on with your finger.
3. Once you got the amount you desire, take a small CLEAN brush and BLEND. Blending is very important when applying makeup. I'm using a Sonia Kashuk from her tribal set from Target.
4. SMILE! :D
The Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush color I used is in 30 Candy Coral <3

Hope you enjoyed and I hope you find this helpful.

Sharp

This is what sharp looks like. I could just obsess over everything about this very handsome man's outfit. The maroon slacks, the jacket and the bow tie. I'm also digging his hair. I bet you all thought I was going to just talk about women's fashion. No no no, you have it all wrong! I love men's fashion as well. I can go and on and on about it. I think I would be a great stylist using men's clothes. So, in case you're wondering, this is what 'looking sharp' looks like and I could just marry a man with this much style. I would say I was kidding, but then I would be lying. >.< Maroon and navy blue are great color combinations. In fact if the jacket color and slacks color were in reverse this would still be a sharp outfit.

Daily Quotes

This is true. Whatever may have happened yesterday, leave it right in the past; where it belongs. Move forward and make your today better than what your yesterday was. Stay positive, believe and good things will happen. I promise. The struggle is the apart of the process. You'll get there.

Los Angeles

I want to go to Los Angeles so bad, I think I'm going to just throw myself on the floor and cry. I'm totally kidding, but I do want to go that bad. No one understands what seeing the Hollywood sign up on that mountain in the distance would mean to me. There's a lot of things I want to see and do in California. For example, I want to go to Disney Land (I want to compare it to Disney World in Orlando, Florida which I've been to). I want to see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I want to attend one of the most intense, fun musical events Coachella and I also want to visit Laguna Beach which was one of my favorite shows on MTV. (In fact I think it's on Netflix now, so I think I'm going to start watching it again) I most importantly want to see the Hollywood sign. A lot of my favorite actors and actresses took off to LA from wherever they were living and made their dreams reality. I hope to go soon with my mom and maybe run into a few of my favorite celebrities. How should I act if I run into Zac Efron? Lets all hope I can save my star struck behavior after I act all cool and calm. Here are some pictures I found on Pinterest and on Google.

Beautiful LA sunset.

Peplum Tops

I posted this picture on my Facebook and Instagram and a lot of people thought I was wearing a dress. It looks pretty close but it's actually two seperate pieces. Peplum tops do this magical thing when you wear it with a skirt it looks like you're wearing a really pretty dress. Go and grab some peplum tops at your favorite store and mix and match it with a pencil skirt or any fitted skirt.
Have fun being your own stylist!

Slim Runway

I love Michael Kors' chunky and shiny watches but these are also great too. These are perfect for work, traveling or for a nice and relaxing lunch with colleagues. They're not too BAM! in your face sparkly as I would call it.
They start at $160 on MichaelKors.com
